4th of July Parade Antics

The annual 4th of July Northside was fun as always, though it was overrun with politicians while some of the fun entries - like the men's drill team and the Aiken High School Marching Band - were missing.

The highlight for me was when the contingent for Sam Malone passed by. As the Malone party passed, my friend Tom spontaneously took off his belt and began flogging me as if I were Sam's own son. Good times.

At first I was taken aback, but regrouped enough to mock pain so the Malone party could take it all in.

Very funny, I thought. Once their interest was captured, we topped it off with a nice boo and a thumbs down.

Seems ol' Sammy got into trouble back in 2002, denying knowledge of a "secret report" by child services. Channel 9 I-Team reported last night that Sam is lying about lack of knowledge of this report. This after his son contacted Channel 9.

It does appear that someone is prompting the son to take action against the father. I guess they don't like Republican Family Values.

Nah, not mapelthorpe. I didnt go see that just because I didnt want to see images of that stuff. Again, to each his or her own, but I made a choice not to go see it just as those who wanted to see it made a choice to do so.

Besides, you are the one who brought up your friend flogging you in public. LOL!
